this was taken near Bingham, NM. there is a large forest fire west of here, over 100,000 acres. it has made for some spectacular sunsets. i've done nothing to the photo except a small brightness and contrast adjustment.
Nothing like a desert sunset or sunrise. Truly a sight to behold. I love the ruby red colours against the desert.
Congrats Hondo on placing in the NM State Fair Photo Contest with this image
Gee! Hope the fires aren't close to you!!
no, they are about 100 miles away, but it is a huge fire, almost 150,000 acres. the wind really made it grow huge.
A very impressive photograph Hondo...one in which one could live with for a long time hanging on their wall
i submitted it to an ABQ TV station and they put it on the air, my ego was stroked. thanks for the kind comment Richard, i appreciate it.
Stunning! I adore the colors and subject matter WOW !
thank you very much, sometimes i get lucky. that is why i nearly always carry my camera.
I am the same. It has been in repair shop now going on 3 weeks. I am feeming. Like tonight the moon was perfect and the clouds were phenomenal I was like go get camera I turned to go in and get it and realized it was still in shop.
that's what I'm talkin' about.
i was on US 380 and saw the windmill off the road. it was a mad dash over ranch roads for about 2 miles to beat the sun.
Beautiful Matt !!!!
Wonderful colours Matt.
